Custom Snus Can Design & Branding Guide
Your can is the first thing a customer touches. This guide covers every customization option MANKE offers — from label printing to custom molds, Pantone matching to foil stamping — so you know exactly what to send, how long it takes, and how the approval process works.
What You Can Customize
Every MANKE can is customizable. You are not limited to stock colors or blank surfaces. Here is the full range:
Can Body
Pantone color matching. Standard PP, food-grade PP, or aluminum. Matte or glossy finish.
Label / Print
Wrap-around label (CMYK). Direct screen print. Foil stamping. Laser engraving for aluminum.
Closure
Screw-top, snap-on, flip-top, push-and-turn CR. Custom torque specs available.
Shape & Size
21 existing SKUs: standard, slim, mini, tall. Custom mold for proprietary shapes.
Compartment
Single cavity. Dual-compartment (catch-lid). Triple-opening options available.
Packaging
Custom retail-ready packaging. Bundled with can order. One supplier, one timeline.
Label Printing vs Direct Printing
The most common question from brands: should I print on a label or directly on the can? The answer depends on your volume, brand positioning, and how often you change designs.
| Label Printing | Direct Printing | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup Cost | Lower. No mold modification. | Higher. Requires plate/screen setup. |
| Lead Time | 7–10 days + 5–7 days artwork proofing | 14–18 days including proofing |
| Durability | Good. Scratch-resistant film available. | Excellent. Ink bonds to can surface. |
| Best For | Brands testing markets. Seasonal variants. Lower MOQ. | Premium brands. High-volume production. Consistent shelf presence. |
Existing Mold vs Custom Mold
Most brands do not need a custom mold. MANKE has 21 existing SKUs that cover the vast majority of nicotine pouch formats. If your design fits one of these, you skip mold costs entirely.
You need a custom mold only when you require: a unique shape not in our catalog, a non-standard diameter outside the 60–73mm range, a proprietary closure mechanism, or a specific internal geometry (e.g., a custom catch-lid cavity).
Custom mold fabrication adds 4–6 weeks to your timeline. Mold costs are quoted per project. The mold belongs to you — if you leave MANKE, you take the mold with you.

The Approval Workflow
Every custom project follows this gated process. You approve each stage before we proceed.
Send your design
AI, PDF, or STEP files. Include Pantone references if you have them.
Feasibility report (48h)
Our engineers review your design for injection molding compatibility. You get a go/no-go with specific recommendations.
Digital proofs
You review and approve renderings before any physical production.
Production samples
200–300 pieces with full customization. Real production units, not prototypes. Ship in 7–10 days (label) or 14–18 days (custom mold).
